Perfect location. Luxurious accommodations!

Loved this home.  It was close to Colonial Williamsburg and anything else that we needed.   The kitchen is amazing and the upstairs bedroom is phenomenal.  The home is well stocked with games and all the comforts that you might want. The owners are friendly, hospitable, polite and willing to help out with whatever you might need. We enjoyed our stay in Williamsburg so much and hope to visit again next year.  Whenever we return, we will certainly look for accommodations at this beautiful Inn.

Wonderful place to stay!
on VRBO
The Inn at 802's location is great for visiting Colonial Williamsburg. It is very convenient to the entire area. It is just as lovely as the photo's and has everything you could want. It is very comfortable and well maintained. Cathy and Joe were very accomodating and helpful. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative and hope to stay here again on my next visit to the area. Highly recommend Aroma's for coffee and breakfast. There is also a new Trader Joe's and Fresh Market within 4 miles which are great places to pick up items if you want to cook meals at home.

The Inn at 802 is a great place to stay. All the comforts of home and more!

We enjoyed this property very much. It was very clean, updated, yet historic. The owners live adjacent but you would never know it. We would run into Cathy at the parking lot or washer. Hemingway, the six-toed cat is a joy, but is strictly an outdoor cat. He was a love-bug. The little patio is charming. All great!

Five Stars and More

We spent a wonderful long weekend at the Inn at 802. It was in celebration of my Mother's birthday. Gorgeous, comfortable, great location, and wonderful owners who are very accommodating. This is five star at its finest. It is a beautiful place to stay and enjoy the Williamsburg area. It is also great if you are traveling with a four-legged family member. We loved walking across the street on the campus of William and Mary with our dog. There are peaceful and lovely wooded trails to walk adjacent to the campus and directly across the street from the Inn. We will definitely be back to visit again. There is no better place to stay in Williamsburg. Gorgeous!!!
My Response:  Thank you so much Sharon.  We also enjoyed having you stay with us!  We would love to have you back!  You were awesome guests.  Cathy

SherfieldTraveller from the UK -  A perfect 'home from home' in Williamsburg

The Inn at 802 is a beautiful two bedroom house (attached) only minutes from the centre of Williamsburg and right at the heart of the Historic Triangle that bring together all the key colonial locations.
The owners, Joe and Cathryn, are very welcoming and extremely helpful if you have a query. However, the property is so well equipped and well prepared for your arrival that there is little more anybody could possibly need.
One point to note - The Inn at 802 used to be a Bed & Breakfast but was remodelled and relaunched last year as a 100% self catered property but don't worry, there are plenty supermarkets nearby (by car) to stock up the wonderful american Fridge/Freezer!

My husband and I rented this house with our two children for a visit to the Williamsburg area. It looked fabulous online and when we arrived, we weren't disappointed. The Inn at 802 is luxurious but so homey and comfortable - we loved it! The location was perfect for visiting Colonial Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown, and Busch Gardens. The owner and her family were welcoming and friendly - as was Hemingway, the (outdoor) resident cat. We have local friends who visited and plan to recommend the Inn to their friends and relatives, too! We would absolutely stay here again. We have rented many properties in many locations through VRBO/Homeaway, and the Inn at 802 was one of the very best!

What a great place to stay! This property was truly a place that our family of 5 plus dog could relax and enjoy during our visit to Williamsburg. I would highly recommend this property for a comparably sized family or for a couples weekend together. It is convienent to Williamsburg, William and Mary, and other things in the area.

Cathy was great and made everything easy for us from arrival to departure. I would highly recommend this property.

The owners Cathy and Joe are really great, Cathy always responded to all of my emails and even let us know that they weren't going to be around the day of our arrival so gave us the name and number of a contact person in case we needed something. That worked out well since we arrived pretty late due to traffic.
And our stay couldn't have been better! We were there for a race my husband was participating in and the location was perfect, we were able to walk to all the race activities (house is across from college, and Race Expo was on the campus). Not to mention we were 10 to 15 minutes from the Jamestown Beach Park and Busch Gardens. That was really convenient since we were with our 3 young children, who also just loved staying at this house.
This house was a great find: it's beautifully decorated, has a private patio which is a really nice perk (we hung out there in the evenings), is really clean (always a concern when traveling with young kids), and has everything you need to feel at home!!
I wouldn't look to stay anywhere else when going back to Williamsburg!!!
Thanks Cathy and Joe!!

A lovely lovely apartment. Great amenities, very central.

The hosts were perfect, the completely right level of interaction - there if you needed them, but allowed us to enjoy our holiday without being overbearing.

We had a little baby with us and they couldn't have been more accommodating with some last minute requests and offers of help.

Thank you Joe and Cathy.  Your house, interior and decoration is beautiful.  The breakfast was delicious every morning.  It was very nice to use the kitchen and the patio and everything.  Goodbye  Marleen & Sandra - Netherlands 7/9/2010

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, it was most pleasant!  We had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed seeing the girls and Matthew.  Here is hoping that we see both you soon. For most of us it was our first trip to Williamsburg.  It was impressive.  Keslers 6/13/2010

Perfect!  Your home is beautiful, and your daughters were gracious and took great care of us.  We enjoyed every moment!  The Harkers  Carrollton, GA 6/3/2010

Your bed and breakfast gave the perfect ending to our stay in Williamsburg.  Next time we might stay a little longer and see what other delicious recipes you guys offer.  Also, the Lafayette provided the perfect combination of comfort and beauty!  We will definitely recommend you to friends thinking about visiting Virginia! Johnny and Dianna 6/2/2010

Enjoyed our stay at your beautiful "B&B". We will be certain to return when we visit again in the future.  In the meantime - stay well and keep having fun - life is way too short! Cindy and Al - Sarasota, FL / Lakewood NJ 6/1/2010

Thank you both for the wonderful hospitality you showed Branden and I.  We had such a wonderful stay!  The Breakfasts were absolutely delicious and I adore the style of your B&B!  It was Brandon's first time at a b&b - he enjoyed it more that he though he ever could.  Can't wait to come back and stay again. Sara 5/25/2010

Thanks for the hospitality and the good food. You have made our trip so pleasant.  We saw Jamestown, Williamsburg and Yorktown. Many fine memories were made here.  Your Inn is a very nice place; all the decorations and flowers are wonderful!  While we were here we made a very incredible discovery - Maryland is for crabs - not so!  We had the best crab cakes I have ever had at Christiana Campbell's Tavern.  Thanks again!   Buddy and Chris - Pasadena, MD 5/14/2010

Many warm thanks for making our spring break vacation so pleasurable and relaxing.  Your down -to-earth charm, gourmet breakfast, lovely guests and all the many extra amenities you provided made for a memorable time.  We hope our paths cross again. Fondly, Julie and Tom - Honor MI  4/2/2010

Joe and Cathy, thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!  Your house is absolutely lovely and your hospitality even more so!  You made our first year Valentine's Day Anniversary one to remember.  Even though we didn't stay long, we looked forward to your scrumptious breakfasts.  They didn't disappoint.  It was nice to get away from the fast paced life for awhile and just enjoy what it means to relax.  Thanks again!  Monique and Kevin - Newport News, VA 2/13/2010

Joe and Cathy, every year we try so hard to do something special for Valentine's Day; thank you so much for making this one extra terrific!  It is rare to find a great room and unique amenities rolled up in one package, but that is exactly what the Inn at 802 embodies.  Thank you for the loving hospitality.  We look forward to coming back! Justin and Kristen- Virginia Beach, VA 2/14/2010

It was our first experience staying at a B and B and we were thrilled. Our hosts were extremely nice and very accommodating. You couldn't have asked for more perfect hosts. We had a lovely room (the blue room featured in this website). We will definitely return to this B and B on our many visits to Colonial Williamsburg. The "Lemon" pancakes are superb! We had them this morning just before leaving and it was a great going away breakfast! Joe and Sandy Baughn - Indianapolis, IN

We couldn’t have been accommodated with more comfort and hospitality that we experienced with you at Inn at 802. Everyone was delighted with the décor and convenience of their room – the gourmet breakfast served so elegantly in your formal dining room and the opportunity to laugh without fear of disturbing other guests. You have given us our 14th Senior Cinderella (annual) grand ball memories. We will be back another year if age permits. Phil, Wanda, Sybil, Wanda, Anne, Doris, Joyce, Nellie, and Marian.
What a great place we chose to stay for our visit to Williamsburg. Thank you for your hospitality, your delicious food and the beautiful room. The Guest Kitchen with teas whenever we wanted was a great bonus. We have so much enjoyed our visit and immersing ourselves in American (and British) historyLes and Liz – Spalding Lincs, U.K
